Thank you Alice Walker. As I watched American Masters and listened to your words and saw images that brought your essence to life I cried. I was hit by something. Something from within and something from outside.
I am saddened by my state as a black woman in America, event after your fight for our elevation. I am confirmed in your light. I am motivated to speak my truth. I am empowered through your words and actions to be the best I can be and to seek my peace through my voice and my love for my people.
