I declare March 2, 2016 National Callie Day Day. There is so much oppression, and fear, and hurt, and anger, and hopelessness in this world and I just truly need my soul to be held. I can’t read another story about a black man being killed, I can’t see another young black person accosted at a Donald Trump Rally, I can’t hear about another march because police brutality, I can’t talk about Black Lives Matter again. My cup runneth over with being fully aware that we are in the throws of some bad stuff as a nation and especially as a people and real talk…it’s gonna get worse before it gets better.
I happened upon a video of a lady singing in my Facebook feed in August of 2015 and gyat damn it I loved her voice!
