Shittttt, this is a direct result of their privilege. The fact that they have never had to see this, understand, experience, or feel white rage is really nice (in sarcastic church lady voice).
I had a co-worker who was so hopeful and passionate about how things just have to change and soon and that in itself irritated me because she really thinks this shit is about to change NOW. It has been before and it will be after we are gone; just morphed into something more palatable for the times.
I don’t see Biden and Harris coming in as some new beginning. It’s more of the same, but led by new people. Republicans are definitely the enemy of Black people, but every Democrat ain’t your friend. That neo-liberal chokehold is no joke and we’re over here getting high off the 15% oxygen in our lungs because it’s all we know. Sometimes liberalism isn’t enough and right now is one of those times.
